Inner Agora Counselling
Finding meaning in uncertainty
In ancient Greece, the agora was the heart of the city, a place where dialogue and the pursuit of knowledge and understanding thrived. At Inner Agora Counselling, that search turns inward, drawing on your strengths—even in uncertain times.
Here, we turn toward questions that have no single answer, like:
How can I live well when the ground shifts beneath me?
How do I meet uncertainty without surrendering to despair?
In the spirit of the philosophers who walked the ancient agora, this is a space to explore, to make meaning, and to meet anxiety, grief, and uncertainty with honesty. This is a space from which we move toward a life shaped by clarity and alignment with our values.
About Erin
Cultivating an examined life
My practice is grounded in the belief that asking life’s deeper questions is vital to living well.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 17 years supporting adult learners at the University of Saskatchewan, where I taught philosophy and led mentorship and community-building programs.
I hold two degrees in Philosophy and am currently completing a second MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University (expected December 2025). I anticipate receiving my Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation shortly after graduation.
In my work, I bring curiosity, care, and depth to each therapeutic relationship, inviting clients to reflect, grow, and ask the questions that matter most.
Services
Where reflection meets action
Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, or a growing sense that life could hold more meaning, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, your values, and what matters most.
At Inner Agora Counselling, I offer therapy for people who are seeking more than mere coping strategies. Together, we create room to reflect, heal, and live with meaning. My approach is thoughtful, tailored to my clients’ unique strengths, and values-based. Most importantly, it is grounded in the belief that life’s biggest questions deserve time and space.
About the Practice
A space for honest self-inquiry
Sometimes life’s routines and urgency can obscure what feels heavy beneath the surface. Opening space for questions that examine your struggles requires time and courage.
In ancient Greece, Socrates often walked the agora, inviting Athenians into searching dialogue about life, meaning, and the nature of the good—conversations that demanded the courage to look inward with honesty.
At Inner Agora Counselling, the agora symbolizes the space within where your questions and values take shape—where emotions, beliefs, and ideas about who you are and what matters most are explored in light of new experiences.
In therapy, we broaden that space through a trusting, collaborative relationship, which invites you to pause, reflect, and live in alignment with your values.
